Inviting nominations for Essel Karnataka’s Best Medical Service and Media Awards

Bangalore, 4^th July 2007 :
The Essel group and Zee Network have come together and unveiled an ambitious programme to award individuals and institutions that have made a significant contribution in public or private life. Every month a set of award is given to the specific category based on the performance and achievements. Now the Essel Group has invited nominations for Karnataka’s Best Medical Service and Media Awards. The last date for receiving nominations is July 31, 2007.

The Medical Service Award is aimed at recognising selfless service by doctors and medical staff. This includes medical innovations, free medical aid to the poor and service in rural areas.

The Media Award is aimed at recognising achievements in the field of journalism and advertising. This includes sustained contribution to journalism, investigative reporting, development journalism and best front page layout. The best advertisement created by an ad agency in Karnataka will also be considered for the Award.

About Essel Award

The Essel group and Zee Network have come together and unveiled an ambitious programme to award individuals and institutions who have made a significant contribution in public or private life. Every month a set of award is given to the specific category based on the performance and achievements on the respective categories, recognizing and honoring the contribution done in the respective fields.

This programme has started in Karnataka from January 2007, and will also be taken later in other States. The winners at the State level will give for the Karnataka’s Best Award and latter carried on to a national level for India ’s Best Award.
