Zee Kannada is making people dance to its tunes

Bangalore, 30^th January 2007 :
Zee Kannada launches “KUNIYONU BAARA”, a unique dance competition for celebrities of the Kannada film industry from Monday, February 5, 2007.

Celebrity stars like Neethashree, Ashitha, Arjun, Tarun and Monica, are teamed up as couples with well known choreographers like Gokul, Vasanth, Nandini, Chitra and Ajaz. Each week will have a different theme, such as film songs, folk songs, classical, disco, etc. Each couple competes with the other week on week for 12 weeks and one winner is chosen in the Mega finals. People can vote from the very first episode through SMS to 7575 (ZKKB 01 or 02 or 03 or 04 or 05), and see their favourite sizzling pair win the finals.

Apart from the star attraction of the participants, “Kuniyonu Baara” also has impressive names such as the very well known choreographer Chinni Prakash and the current favourite film director Prakash as the judges. Along with them, every episode will have celebrity stars like Jayanti, Ravichandran, Anu Prabhakar as the third judge.

Kuniyonu Baara also has very popular and glamorous anchors, Chaitanya Hegde, dancer, programmer & celebrity Radio Jockey and Meghana, dancer, instructor at the Shiamak Davar Dance Institute and an attractive TV presenter.

“Young celebrities of Kannada film industry are coming together for the first time for a fun filled-healthy dance competition. “Kuniyonu Baara”, is an attempt to present different forms of dances under one roof with a class, style and chic to better any Bollywood standards in glamour and performances and one must see it to believe it”, said Malavika Avinash, Programming Head, Zee Kannada.
