Zee Kannada launches “Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa”
Bangalore, 18th September 2006: Zee Kannada has announced the launch of its new mega Kannada musical programme “Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa”, the biggest musical talent hunt of Karnataka. Zee Kannada’s “Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa” is largely inspired by the national channel Zee Hindi’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”. However, the concept of the programme is unique to Zee Kannada.
The mega hunt begins with auditions conducted across Karnataka. The state has been divided into four zones, with two centers in each zone. The audition centers are Mysore, Hassan, Shimoga, Davanagere, Raichur, Hubli, Mangalore and Bangalore.
The “Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa” team shortlists 52 participants, i.e., 13 from each zone. The actual elimination rounds are held in Bangalore, where each zone competes with the other. From a total of 52 participants, they become 26 and then 13 and then 12, 11 so on and so forth till we get our final winner.
The star attractions of this programme are the celebrities involved. It has the best names in Kannada music industry. None other than Rajesh Krishnan is hosting the show. He will be the friend and support of every participant. Zee Kannada has managed to rope in big and well known names like Ratnamala Prakash and Raju Ananthswamy as the judges of this musical talent hunt. With the kind of experience and expertise they bring on board, every contestant will be thrilled and honoured to be judged and guided by them. The competition is purely based on film music.
