Zee Kannada takes “Gramophone” across Karnataka

Mysore, 12^th September 2006: Zee Kannada announces the beginning of a series of musical events, “Nimmoornaag Gramophone Hachteevi” across Karnataka, starting from Mysore. As a part of the Suvarna Karnataka celebration “Nimmoornaag Gramophone Hachteevi”, is a unique concept introduced by Zee Kannada. Zee Kannada plans to take this programme across the state in the next 6 months.

“Mysoornaag Gramophone Hachteevi”, is the first destination of our touring “Gramophone”. This musical evening on Saturday, 16th September at 6.30 pm in Kalamandira, Mysore is a tribute to the legendary “G.K.Venkatesh”. The event will witness some of the all time favourite compositions of “G.K.Venkatesh” being performed by well known singers Rajesh Krishnan, Nanditha, Archana Udupa, L.N Shastry and many others. The show would also be graced by the presence of stars like Ms.Jayanti, Mr.Dwarakeesh, Mr.Ashwath and many others who have known the legend in person.

The programme pays tribute and salutes the musical stalwarts of the Kannada film industry. Each programme is going to be a grand musical evening with the current stars and singers performing to the numbers scored by the musical big wigs of the industry. We will have with us the original artistes who starred in the original number. The entire show will be weaved by a person who has known the legend very closely. At the end of the show, we would felicitate the star of attraction of the evening.
