Bangalore, 11th Aug 2007 :
Riding on the success of its popular programmes such as "Baale Bangara", "Kuniyona Baara", "Nimmoornaag Gramaphone Hachtivi", and in keeping with the demands of its viewers, Zee Kannada has now announced the launch of two new programmes. “SaRiGaMaPa”- the new edition of the long running musical talent show will go on air from August 17th and “Nammappamma” from 20th of August. SaRiGaMaPa will be broadcast on every Friday and Saturday at 9 pm, "Nammappamma" program can be viewed from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
"Sarigamapa" which was previously promoting and introducing talented young singers in Karnataka, will in its new avatar feature musically inclined talented married women. Young singer Vijay Prakash, a Kannadiga who has earned laurels in Bollywood will be anchoring "Sarigamapa".
“Nammappamma”is a very relevant and need-of-the-hour talk show that focuses on the important and all pervasive role that parents play in everyone’s life. It is a world where the lucky ones have parents and some unfortunate ones don’t. Some are taken care of well while others are deprived of a good childhood even with parents at hand. To bring forth these issues, Nammappamma anchored by National award winning actor Tara will unfold the highly stimulating tales of children (and parents) to the fore. Viewers will have a rare opportunity to listen to emotional talks from those children who have enjoyed the love and warmth of parents and also of those who are deprived of it.
Zee Kannada, Business Head, Anup Chandrasekharan said, “Both ‘Sarigamapa’ and ‘Namappaamma’ programmes are first of its kind on the small screen in Karnataka. These are our most ambitious programmes and are sure to provide quality entertainment to the viewers.”
Others present at the conference were: S.L.N. Swami-Head of Non-fiction programmes Zee Kannada, Tara actress host of ‘Namappaamma’ and Vijay Prakash-Host ‘Sarigamapa,’ were present in the press conference.
