ZEE KANNADA COMPLETES ‘TWO’

Bangalore, 7^th May 2008 :

May 11, 2008 marks the successful completion of two years of Karnataka’s premiere General Entertainment Channel Zee Kannada. Zee Kannada, a part of one of India’s biggest business houses Essel Group, was launched in May 2006 and has shown unprecedented growth in a short span of two years.

As a part of the anniversary celebrations, Zee Kannada has started full fledged prime time news bulletin at 7.00 pm called “Suddhi @ 7”. The USP of “Suddhi @ 7” as compared to any other news bulletins on any other channel is the presenter of the news. For the first time ever, National Film Award Winning artiste TARA is seen in an all new role as Zee Kannada’s News presenter. By this, Zee Kannada has yet again proved to be the innovators in the industry and has already created a wave amongst the competition and also the viewers.

The recent grand musical event organized by Zee Kannada in Dubai, was another example of “never-done-before” events in the Kannada television industry. The star studded evening was a treat to the non resident Kannadigas, with performances by Darshan, Vijay Raghavendra, Diganth, Anu Prabhakar, Neetu and many others. Zee Kannada will have an exclusive premiere of the event’s curtain raiser on its anniversary on Sunday, May 11 at 11.00am.

In the last two years the channel has redefined family television entertainment and has emerged as a canvas for creative expression. With unique programming and smart scheduling, Zee Kannada has given super duper hits like Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, Kuniyonu Baara, Yaariguntu Yaarigilla and Gold Rush-Baale Bangaara to name a few. The recent entrants to this list of entertaining unique programmes are Komedy Khiladigalu and Gunagaana.
